Who We Are
IDP (Insurance Data Partners, Inc.) is a leading technology services provider that has exclusively served the P&C community since 1949. We have leveraged our extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise, along with decades of rich customer insights to develop intuitive, agile, and affordable solutions. As a strategic business partner to the P&C community, IDP delivers robust cloud-based systems and comprehensive bureau reporting services for insurers, program administrators, and residual market plans. Our unparalleled technology and expertise are matched only by our unwavering commitment to each and every client’s success.
We are one of the oldest and most experienced independent providers of technology services to the property & casualty industry. Our company’s insurance expertise and technological understanding are deeply rooted in its foundation. IDP started as a cooperative accounting and statistical unit, formed by five insurance companies and a reinsurance brokerage firm in 1949. The organization rapidly grew to become Mutual Tabulating Services, Inc. in 1953. With early adoption of computing technologies and continued growth, the company changed its name to Insurance Data Processing, Inc. in 1961 to reflect its emergence as a leading technology services provider to the P&C insurance market. In 1967, the corporation was acquired by Marsh & McLennan, Inc. (Guy Carpenter & Co., Inc.). In 1985, IDP became part of the Carlino Financial Group, a full service financial organization in Philadelphia. Today, we are Insurance Data Partners, Inc. (IDP), leading technology providers and strategic business partners delivering innovative solutions to the P&C community.
